Apologies for the radio silence; life got a little too life-y for a little bit there. TriFire 2020, much like the rest of 2020, hasn't gone according to plan. So we're implementing Plan C- a series of virtual events to connect our TriFire family, talk about alchemy, and work a little magic. I'm calling it TriFire-lite.

Due to the aforementioned life-iness issues, TriFire-lite will be taking place over Zoom, with various times for discussion, workshops, and rituals. Check out the TriFire Facebook Page for event links and community chatter.

Our rough schedule is as follows:

Friday

8pm - Homecoming Fire: A hang out, catch up, no-pressure environment for alchemists to (re)connect

Saturday

(1pm) Three, Four, and Seven: A brief overview of the core concepts of elemental and planetary alchemy.

(4pm) Building Your Alchemical Altar, or How to TriFire in Your Apartment - Explore ideas and themes you may want to incorporate into an alchemical altar. Discuss tips and tactics to make it through a solo fire.

(7pm - 10pm) Opening Ritual - Start the night together before going on an Alchemical journey unlike any we've tried before! Dress in the way that reflects where you are in the process. Have any hand-held instruments or oratory offerings that you want to bring nearby.

Sunday

(1pm) Golden Moments - Check in to go over the night and reflect on the process, what worked and what could be improved. Bask in the post-fire glow.

Recommended Materials:

  • Note-taking apparatus
  • Candles (recommended 1 large pillar and 8-12 tealights)
  • Altar decorations for the elements (fire, water, air, earth)
  • Altar decorations for the temples (black, white, yellow, red)
  • A bead to thread onto your necklace (new alchemists will need a cord/string/chain for their necklace)

Because we’re all doing this on our own, our beads will all look different, reflecting an experience that was both communal and singular.
