In 2023 we are back to hosting in-person Yule, this time at a new venue: Camp Round Meadow in Sabillasville, MD. This year we are mixing together classic Yule traditions, the figure of Father Christmas, and the mischief of Krampus to bring you a two-track event exploring the many aspects of Yule.

Expect tasty treats and foods (including gluten-free and vegetarian), axe throwing (as long as we still have the axes), crafting hangouts (bring your own or learn a new one), and be ready to bring your whole authentic self to Yule- be it warm and welcoming or dark and mischievous.

Yule this year will happen during the first two nights of Hanukkah! If Hanukkah is part of your faith and you would like to help us incorporate this into our event, please email admin@stonecirclecouncil.org. We would love to share any rituals that would be meaningful.

    Virtual Participation:
This is a new venue without wifi, so we are not aware of how much streaming we will be able to support. However, we would like to stream activities and rituals as available! There will be a free registration version for virtual-only attendees to be included in streaming.

    Accessibility:

All dorm buildings are accessible, and one includes a bathroom with an accessible shower. There are paved walkways between buildings and ramps into all buildings.

COVID-19 and our Community Health Policy:

We require all attendees to adhere to SCC's health policy, which is outlined here. Because this event is indoor-only, masking is required unless you are in your shared sleeping area, or are actively eating/drinking. We also strongly encourage rapid testing before attendance, and as always, do not attend if you are feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms.
