The Stone Family Gathering

Labor Day Weekend

Start: Thursday, September 1, 2022

End: Monday, September 5, 2022

Even when it is battered, broken and smoking, if we work together it will stand tall!
We stand together as tribe.
Warrior and tribe by torchlight.
The candle for the absent, for you are always with us in our hearts.
Tigre - Drum Mage
A child of our tribe honoring the spirit of the badger.
Sharing bread and smiles.

What is the Stone Family Gathering?

It's what we make of it. A gathering of Tribe to raise stones.

5 days of togetherness, 5 days of Ceremony ending with new stones raised up to honor the community that created them.

In 2019 we raised the Trilithon.

In 2020 we met in an all-virtual format and raised almost 100 stones in a stone circle that spans 3 continents.

In 2021 we successfully raised 2 stones that now flank the Trilithon on the hill in Flintstone, MD.  We gathered as safely as we could and added new standing stones and a fairy cairn to our family of stones.

In 2022 we will again gather over Labor Day weekend, and we will raise stones.  So, save-the-date! September 1-5, 2022.  Registration will open when the details are settled.

About the Venue:

Stone Song Center is a welcoming space nestled in the Allegany Mountains of Western Maryland. It includes a beautiful farmhouse overlooking 23 acres of luscious land, a renovated barn that serves as a retreat center including an indoor meeting space, kitchen and bunk beds.  The land includes a small pond, and creek, a fire circle, nature trails, an apiary and an organic vegetable garden and orchard.

Most of our attendees will camp and that cost will be included in the cost of registration.  Non-campers can upgrade to bunkhouse accommodations.  Stone Song Center does not allow personal campfires. So be mindful of that when planning meals.  We will also offer a limited number of meal-plans for those attendees who prefer not to cook for themselves.  Pricing and details are still in the works but stay tuned.

Stone Song Center does not have trash-service so please plan to pack-out anything you pack-in.

*Stone Song Center requires all persons on-site over the age of 5 years to be fully vaccinated as per the CDC definition. The CDC states that "a person is fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving all recommended doses in the primary series of their COVID-19 vaccination."
